Chat GPT Plus upgrade tutorial using virtual credit card Depay

ChatGPT Plus Introduction

Upgrading to ChatGPT Plus has lots of benefits without a doubt,
like stability, no word limit, no errors, etc. However, in the current situation, those non-US residents or persons without a US credit card have no way to upgrade it.

In this article, I, an enthusiast of ChatGPT Plus, have personally tested upgrading the ChatGPT Plus from a free ChatGPT account by using Depay, and here is how.

Four Steps Upgrade To ChatGPT Plus

Before starting, please make sure to be prepared:
1. Register 1 free ChatGPT account
2. Register 1 Ouyi account
3. Apply for 1 virtual credit card Depay

1. Register 1 free ChatGPT account

There are many detailed tutorials online for this step, which I won’t go into here. You can refer to this step-by-step tutorial https://sms-activate.org/cn/info/ChatGPT if you haven’t a free ChatGPT account yet.

Once you got a free ChatGPT account, go to step 2

2. Register an Ouyi account

Since Depay does not accept Non-USD currency deposits directly, we need to use an exchange platform like Ouyi to complete this USD deposit process. Consider using Ouyi just because it’s the biggest and safest crypto exchange in China which is legal and admitted by the China government.

Wait patiently for the successful installation of the Ouyi App, click the App home page — Buy crypto— Buy crypto — select USDT — Purchase at least 23 USDT(about ￥200), here support VISA, Mastercard, and other purchase methods. I purchase $60 here to save effort.

3. Apply for a virtual credit card Depay

(1) What is Depay

First of all, ChatGPT requires a US credit card. Currently, no domestic dual currency card nor full currency card is supported. So far, Depay Virtual Credit Card is the best choice for a non-us resident like me.

(2) Register a Depay account

Click here to sign up for a Depay account. You can use your email or mobile phone number. If you are using Gmail and don’t receive the verification code, it will probably be in the trash.

After the above successful account registration, you will be asked to download and install their App. For Apple phones, you need an overseas Apple ID. For Android phones, you can directly download and install via the apk file. Wait patiently for the APP installation and log in to Depay with the account and password you just registered.

(3) Apply for the first card

Click on the upper left corner of the interface “Apply card” to apply for your first virtual credit card, in the pop-up windows, you can choose the Standard card with 0 card fee(but KYC required), or you can also choose the Pro/Gold card, which requires additional 10 or 50 USDT card fee, here I recommended apply for the Standard 0-fee card for long-term use.

(4) Deposit USDT from Ouyi to Depay

• Open the Depay App wallet, Go to wallet — USDT — Deposit, here copy your recharge address, for example, here my recharge address is TKeiEjFBDyJTAb89YhFDQCyFfLjiZJt55Z. And make sure the screen shows that the main network is TRC20, otherwise, you have the risk that USDT deposit failure.

• Open the Ouyi App registered above and go to the Home page — Assets — withdrawal — USDT — on-chain. Fill in the above Depay USDT recharge address here. For me, it is TKeiEjFBDyJTAb89YhFDQCyFfLjiZJt55Z here. leave the Withdrawal network as TRC20. And I withdrew 60 USDT to Depay here. Then submit and wait. [Important]By default, the New register Ouyi account need to wait for 24h before he/she can withdraw, anyway, you can contact their customer service to appeal that]

• Once the USDT successfully deposits from Ouyi to Depay, click Depay App — Wallet — Exchange, here we need to convert the USDT into USD before change recharging tho the Depay Card we applied above.

• Click “To Card” on the Home page of the Depay App, and deposit the converted USD into the card.

Upgrade to ChatGPT Plus via Depay

Now we own a virtual credit card (the equivalent of a debit card with no overdraft) and in step 4 we have already charged more than $20 into it, which is enough to subscribe for 1 month to ChatGPT Plus.

Log on to ChatGPT and find the option to Upgrade to Plus in the lower left corner. If you don’t see this upgrade option, please switch your IP to the US. However, I am not diving into here how to switch IPs. DM me if you encounter this issue.

About the billing address

During the upgrade process, you will be required to provide a billing address, you can google ‘American address generator’ and use a site like https://usaddressgenerator.com/ to generate a duty-free American address.
